Camping

The Boys' Brigade has always been famous for camping. The tradition started back in 1887 with a Company in Glasgow going away to stay under canvas.

In Boothtown we try to have 2 Camps each year for both the Junior and Company Sections. The Company Section also has the opportunity to go away for a Week in the Summer with the Battalion.

In Spring the Juniors tend to go away over May Day Weekend staying indoors either in a Church or Village hall.

They do alsorts of activities and games throughout the weekend and have a really good time!

In Spring the Company go back to basics and have their Under Canvas Camp. The lads have to look after their tents and make sure they know what they are doing.

We swap between sites at Dalby Forest, Easingwold, Gargrave and Masham.

The Camp usually takes place over spring Bank Weekend.

In Autumn the Juniors camp in a Church Hall close to the Seaside and visit the attractions in the local area.

Similar to the Spring Camp, the Juniors get up to lots of fun and games.

The places we visit are Scarborough, Liverpool and St Annes.

In Autumn the Company camp in a Church Hall close to the Seaside along side the Juniors.

The lads get a different style of Camp and get up to alsorts of different things from bowling to laser quest and everything between.
