BOOTHTOWN BOYS' BRIGADE
EST 1917 - Celebrating 95 years of working with Children and Young People!
The Seniors meet on a Thursday night at Boothtown Methodist Church between 7:00 and 9:00.
We give the Seniors their own free space and allow them to start to plan what they are going to do.
Subs are £2.00 each week which is really good value for money and at the end of the night the lads can help themselves to the tuck shop.
The Boys' Brigade is a Christian Uniformed Youth Organisation and although we don't force you into being a Christian, we do encourage you to bring your lads to 'Church Parades'. These take place on the Second Sunday of each Month between 10:20 and 11:30.
Each year we also have a Spring and an Autumn Camp, both held around the North of England in a Church Hall.
In Autumn we tend to stay near the Sea Side and in Spring, we try take advantage of the good English weather and introduce our lads to the Country Side.
In Summer the Halifax Battalion run a week long Camp to a variety of places such as France, Isle of White and along the South Coast.
The Halifax Battalion also provide a lot of Competitions for the lads to take part in.
There is also the opportunity of gaining the Presidents and Queens Badges which are the 2 highest Awards that any Lad can gain whilst being in the Boys' Brigade. These awards have helped develop Young Boys into fine Young Men who are positive members of their Community and go on to give respect to those who they meet through out their lives.
